The legendary Doctor Justice/Docteur Justice is the creation of 2 best-selling French and Italian cartoonists Jean Ollivier and Raphaël Marcello and enthralled millions of readers of all ages with the harrowing adventures of this humanitarian superhero. Created in 1970,so far 158 original stories have been published, which represent more than 3000 drawings pages, and distributed all over Western and Eastern Europe, Canada and some other French speaking countries, for over 3 decades.
First published in a French comic strip magazine called “Pif Gadget”, Doctor Justice became so quickly successful that the creators and the publisher started to publish the magazine “Dr.Justice” and a major comic books series of the same name,with a series of great adventures.
The title character is a humanitarian hero, an expert in martial arts and a dedicated defender of the human rights and environmental rights. This top humanitarian agent, relentless enemy of all human rights violations has devoted his life to help victims and populations who lack of basic health cares due to armed conflicts, epidemics and natural or man-made disasters and he tries most of the time to put out firestorms for the World Health Organization, Amnesty International, Greenpeace, Human Rights Watch and other humanitarian aid organizations. However, when medical assistance is not enough to save lives, Dr Justice speaks out to find the corrupt or the mad mind that is almost always in the subtext of most of the human tragedies.
